Level II | Apprenticeship

July 1, 2026 - December 31, 2026 Cohort

Step into teaching with hands-on experience, structured mentorship, and paid opportunities.

About Level II

The Apprenticeship is the second phase of the Contour Mentorship Program, designed for students who have completed all modules of their comprehensive Pilates certification and are ready to begin teaching in a supportive, real-world setting. This 6-month program combines hands-on teaching experience with structured mentorship, including eight weekly onboarding sessions, monthly development meetings, and opportunities to teach paid classes at Contour. Apprentices continue to refine their skills through observation, guided practice, and direct feedback, while gradually stepping into the role of a confident, capable instructor. It's an ideal bridge between certification and professional teaching.

good questions

Frequently asked

Is this worth it if I'm already paying for a certification program?

Yes, and here's why. Your certification program teaches you the method. This program teaches you how to teach it. There's a real difference between knowing Pilates and knowing how to stand in front of a room full of clients, read a reformer setup, cue someone safely, and keep a class moving with confidence.

Level II is the bridge between earning a certification and actually working as a teacher. It happens inside a working studio, alongside working teachers, in real time.

The price feels high.

We hear that, and it's a fair thing to think about. Level II packs together a 4-week onboarding, monthly lesson plan review with our senior instructors, live teaching practice with real-time feedback, supervised test-out prep, two quarterly workshops, two private sessions, four group classes a month, and a seat at our staff team meetings.

When you add it up, that's well over $900 in monthly value. We designed the $499 investment to make this as accessible as possible while still being able to give every apprentice the time, space, and feedback they deserve. Your Pilates certification likely cost $4,000 to $8,000. Level II is the bridge between that investment and actually earning income as a teacher.

What if I don't end up working at Contour?

That's completely okay, and we want you to know that upfront. Participation in our mentorship program does not guarantee employment at Contour Pilates ATL.

What it does guarantee is that you'll leave with real teaching experience, a polished lesson plan, documented hours, and the kind of studio fluency that every hiring manager in Atlanta is looking for.

What if I don't pass my certification exam?

We work incredibly hard to prepare you, but the exam outcome is ultimately yours to own. Participation in this program does not guarantee passing the NCPT or any external certification exam.

What we do promise is that you will walk into that exam more prepared than you would have been without us. We've seen it over and over again.

What do the meetings cover?

Onboarding is your runway into the studio: studio policies, scheduling systems, team norms, cueing standards, and the small but important things that separate knowing the moves from knowing how to run a class.

The other monthly meetings dig into the details: test-out preparation, working through exercises, and whatever's coming up in your teaching practice. The full schedule with dates, times, and what each session covers is in our meeting overview (download here).
